Pick Your Pee Pick Your Pest
The PeeMan is asked lots of questions every week and answers every single one of them personally and pretty quickly. But, here are some of the most often asked. But before you read them, the PeeMan gives you fair warning that a good sense of humor is required.
After all, the PeeMan couldn't have been the PeeMan for over 30 years without one! Learn how to protect free range backyard chickens below.
The PeeMan and The Free Range Chicken Massacre
There was a time when the PeeMan wouldn't have given a chicken a second thought. That was before Brown Betty and the Great Free Range Chicken Massacre. You see, the kids and the grandkids thought it would be a fine idea to have chickens here at the farm and everyone knows that the PeeMan is a sucker for just about anything the kids or grandkids want. So the PeeMan built a coop and the family trooped down to Tractor Supply and brought home 8 chicks. As you know, it takes a while for the chicks to grow big enough to make the move from inside the house to inside the coop. The learning curve was steep but all went well and the now good-sized chickens moved out to the coop. Everything looked like this endeavor was going to be a great success until the family thought “free range” was the way to go. Who is the PeeMan to argue with the will of the family? Unfortunately, to Mr. Fox “free range” looked an awful lot like “free lunch”. One afternoon the PeeMan heard the sound of some very unpleasant squawking coming from across the field. By the time the PeeMan got to the “free range”, it was a massacre. That fox was a killing machine. The PeeMan counted 6 chicken bodies, not counting the one in Mr. Fox's teeth heading into the woods. The PeeMan is not too good with math, but it seemed like there should have been one more. All of a sudden there was a flutter of feathers from under the old Ford tractor and darned if one big brown hen didn't fly right into the PeeMan's arms! From that moment, Brown Betty got pretty attached to the PeeMan and although you'd be hard-pressed to get him to admit it, the PeeMan got pretty attached to Brown Betty too. So the PeeMan learned a lesson and had no intention of getting outfoxed by Mr. Fox again. The family got more chicks and the PeeMan set to squirting the WolfPee all around the chicken coop on a regular basis from that day on. It's been over 2 years now since the Great Free Range Massacre, and Brown Betty and all the hens are safe and happy. Oh, Mr. Fox and even Mr. Coyote and their friends are still in the neighborhood; but thanks to the scent of WolfPee and the “pee-rimeter” around the coop, Mr. Fox and Mr. Coyote would rather be safe than sorry and choose to steer way clear of the PeeMan's hens.

In the wild, the predator marks its territory with urine and stalks its prey. Animals like deer, mice, rats, skunk, squirrels and even suburban coyotes react to the scent of predator pee by seeking to avoid those predators at all costs. In this life and death game of hide and seek, the scent of predator urine triggers a powerful genetic fear reaction that says a predator is nearby. PredatorPee® 100% Natural Predator Urine puts that genetic response to work for you and keeps unwanted pest animals like coyotes, raccoons, deer, skunks, cats, porcupines etc. away from your home and out of your yard. It is nature's own natural animal repellent!
